Revolutionizing in-game collectibles: cross-game asset ownership in free-to-play arcade
Enabling developers to build fast, scalable and secure applications for NFTs and blockchain games.
With years of experience in mobile games from studios including Rovio, Sulake, and DoDreams, Flowstate Games prioritizes the quality of the gaming experience. The studio utilizes blockchain technology to ensure players have true ownership of their skins, items, and footprints in the Smash Stars universe.
STRGL was in charge of the design and front-end development of the platform for Smash Stars' first collection of free utility NFTs, Daemons. All 4500 of these mysterious sidekicks were minted in three days, kicking off Flowstate Games' rise to the forefront of blockchain-powered arcade gaming with a bang.

STRGL was responsible for guiding the user through the multi-phase process of minting a visually unique Smash Stars Daemon on a dedicated online platform. We designed visual elements that kept the community updated on each step, from two whitelist phases to the unveiling of their Daemons. To ensure continuous transparency, countdown clocks showed the time before and between the two whitelist events. In addition, we designed an inventory to house the user's Daemons after minting.
With no fixed style guide, we had the freedom to get creative with the platform's interface. At the same time, we strove to build a design system that maintained consistency with Smash Stars' existing brand identity. We designed the interface to be minimalistic, with vibrant colors and dynamic shapes reminiscent of the gaming experience dotting the dark background.
